Stairway fabrication

Metal tubing, with wall thicknesses of 1/16 to 1/8" (2 to 3 mm), are cut to length prior to being formed into the correct shape for hand and support rails. Metal plate, typically 1/8" (3 mm) thick, or bar grating is cut to the desired shape for stair treads. Metal plate, typically 1/16 to 1/8" (2 to 3 mm) thick, is cut to desired shapes for side skirts and risers.
System: Powermax30 or 45

Fence and rail fabrication

Metal plate or flat bar is cut and bent into a variety of shapes and sizes and welded on fence rails to create intricate designs.

Gate fabrication

Square or rectangular tubing, with various wall thicknesses, are cut to the required size for the fabrication of gate frames and support rails. Flat bars are also cut to size and attached to frame rails for custom hinges. Holes are then pierced for hinge pins.
System: Powermax45 or 1000
Key advantages of Powermax® systems
  • Superior speed of plasma cutting results in shorter cut times and greater productivity over processes such as oxyfuel or saws.
  • Easy to set up and operate.
  • Piercing capability makes starting interior cuts easy.
  • High cut quality reduces or eliminates secondary operations, such as grinding.
  • Drag-cutting technology makes it easy to follow a line or template.
  • Gouging process efficiently removes existing welds with reduced noise and smoke over conventional methods.
  • System portability offers ease of use at various locations.
  • Controlled arc and high cutting speeds reduce heataffected zone and warping.
  • Cut a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including mild steel, stainless and aluminum – painted or rusted.
  • Pilot arc control feature enables uninterrupted cutting on expanded metal.
  • Machine torches are available for use on pipe beveling and cutting machines.
